SUGGESTED SCRIPT:
-
Good evening councilmembers: I am here asking you to rescind your vote on Fanita Ranch.
-
Please do not suppress the voice of the people by acting on the Fanita Ranch development project prior to the Santee General Plan Protection Initiative vote.
-
The massive sprawl project should be rejected. This project has documented traffic, fire safety, and environmental impacts. Placing over 8,000 new residents in a Cal Fire designated “Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone” is irresponsible.
-
It was negligent to approve the project while also taking into account that our existing residents rely upon the same jammed roads for evacuation and daily commutes.
-
The Environmental Impact Report disclosed significant unavoidable impacts on our streets and highways. Please do not use the developer's misleading promises to rationalize the approval of the Fanita project.
-
Please rescind your vote on Fanita Ranch.
